&lt;p&gt;Are you being conscientious and unmounting the card before you physically remove it? The file system will buffer data and removing media without unmounting can corrupt them.&lt;/p&gt;

Reading from the devices are fine (they automount ok) but when i try to copy to a memory stick, it appears to finish copying large files in an instant. When i disconnect and reconnect the device, the files aren&#039;t really there. Have you had problems with usb memory sticks? I think this is more a fedora problem than a vaio one.&lt;/p&gt;
